Getting outside and being intentional

A quick one day hike with the family to the Wichita Mountainis. It's been a crazy couple of week in our world and it seems that our normal "family time" is spent in front of a screen. Now, We don't believe there's anything wrong with that however, it's become a norm for us to get lazy on a couch. Today we decided to do something different and go enjoy the random warm weather and head the the Wichita Mountains for a quick hike. A Quick Quiet Retreat To The Mountainside Of Arkansas

Rae and I celebrated 19 years this past week. We booked a cheap little getaway in the mountainside of Arkansas to take a few days, relax, breathe, and just be. We didn't do a whole lot. We sat, talked, read, watched a few shows, and occasionally got out to eat and be outdoors. Most importantly, it was time. Time to be with one another and ourselves. Time to relax, breathe and realign ourselves. Of course, I took my camera and captured a few things. This video has no theme or storyline. It's random clips of our trip here and there. There is no narration or direction, just a few moments, and I'm ok with that. I had a great time hiking with the kids at the Wichita Mountains this past week. These are some of the moments I hope they never forget. I'm not much of a writer, but I've always aspired to write. Rae and I have talked about starting a family blog before, but we never did anything about it, until now. We don't think we're that interesting; we sometimes see our lives as dull and mundane. We love our routines and the circles we travel in. However, we have realized that we might have more to offer than we think. Rae and I have been in Ministry for around 20 years. Starting as Youth Pastors, worship leaders, content creators, and so much more. God has walked with us through so many seasons. And the question is, who are we to keep that to ourselves? We're not perfect, but we serve a perfect God who has led us through so many highs and lows of this life. As I said, we're not perfect, but we would love for you to join us on this imperfect journey.
